THE ARAB-ISRAEL HISTORICAL CONFLICT: PROMISE of the LAND
All conflict between Moslems and Jews is about the land of Israel. God promised/deeded the land to Abram (renamed Abraham).
• On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates (Genesis 15:18).
• The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God (Genesis 17:8).
• I will establish your borders from the Red Sea [literally Sea of Reeds] to the Sea of the Philistines [Mediterranean], and from the desert to the [Euphrates] River (Exodus 23:31).
Abraham had two sons, Isaac with his wife Sarah and Ishmael with her servant Hagar. God promised the land of Israel to Abraham through Isaac, not Ishmael.
• Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him (Genesis 17:19).
Moslem enemies of Israel are descendants of Ishmael and want what is not theirs to have (Genesis 16:1-12). God consistently promised that He would restore the Nation of Israel for His chosen people, the Jewish descendants of Isaac.
• . . . these bones are the whole house of Israel; I will bring you back to the land of Israel; I will settle you in your own land. I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field. I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, "This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden. I will make their people as numerous as sheep. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'" Then they will know that I am the LORD" (Ezekiel 37:1-14; Ezekiel 36:24-38).
• I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God (Amos 9:14-15).
ISRAEL BECOMES A STATE: PROMISE of the LAND FULFILLED
God kept His covenant/promise on May 13-14, 1948. Harry S Truman was the key figure in the miracle.
Harry S Truman: President, American Legionnaire, participant in fulfilling these Biblical prophecies:
• Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. . . . Rejoice with Jerusalem (Isaiah 66:7-10).
• See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day (Zechariah 3:9).

"On the evening of May 13, 1948, the day before the expiration of the British Mandate, David Ben-Gurion, Executive Head of the Jewish Agency/the World Zionist Organization, called President Harry S Truman who also was required to sign the formal paper [of Israel's statehood] the next day. On the phone, they discussed and agreed the name should be 'the State of Israel.'" (Several were being considered.)

On May 14, 1948, when the typed document came to Mr. Truman for signature, it read, "the Jewish state." President Truman crossed out "Jewish," made an insertion mark, and wrote in ink, "state of Israel" as agreed the previous evening with Ben-Gurion. At the same time, "Ben Gurion declared 'the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel,' a state independent upon the termination of the British Mandate for Palestine."

THE INVITATION
★ You can't depend on your own goodness to get to Heaven. We've all sinned (Romans 3:23). Jesus paid the penalty for your sins with His death on the cross and His resurrection (John 3:16).
★ To be forgiven and be guaranteed a place in Heaven, you need to repent of sin, confess that you are a sinner, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart (Acts 2:21).
★ You can use the following prayer or your own words, but you must actually believe in your heart that your prayer is real:
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed.
Please forgive all my wrongdoing and let me live in relationship with You from now on.
I receive You as my Savior and recognize that the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross was done on my behalf.
Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You.
